Large Notebook Block Printing & Binding
Always find yourself looking for your next notebook to fill with fresh ideas, lists, scribbles or sketches? Come print and bind your own 6x9" 100-page notebook in this 3-hour workshop!
We'll use a curated selection of large metal type, wood type and ornaments from the Gingerly Press collection and an array of ink colors to print one-off notebook covers with the playful proofing technique that we use to "sketch" ideas on our vintage Vandercook Press dating back to the 1960s. Then participants will learn a 5-hole pamphlet stitch to bind their notebook with their favorite freshly printed cover. We'll finish off the notebooks with a trim & corner round for a smooth professional look and send you on your way fully stocked for recording all your freshest ideas!
Personal Stationery Printing with Metal & Wood Type

It was once said, "Freedom of the press is guaranteed only to those who own one," (A.J. Liebling; 1960), and we want to share the power of our press ownership with you! Got something to say and you want to spread the word? Join us in this half-day Power of the Press workshop, where you'll learn how to set & print exactly what you want to say with wood type on a set of 20 postcards. At the end of the workshop, participants will be encouraged to trade their postcard creations among themselves if they wish and then send them to friends, family, state representatives or anyone else they want to hear their message. Drink Coaster Printing with Metal & Wood Type
Nothing is worse than a pesky water ring on your brand new wood table! Prevent the drama by making your own set of coasters to protect all the furniture in your life. In this workshop, you'll experience the old-time art of letterpress printing while making your own set of 16 drink coasters. You will learn how to set a saying, recipe, or design of your choice with antique moveable type & ornaments, and print your coasters on our vintage Vandercook Press dating back to the 1960s!
Wall Art Block Printing with Metal & Wood Type
Do your walls need a refresh with new art? Do you need to release some creative energy? Then this 3-hour creative workshop is for you! We'll use a curated selection of large antique metal type, wood type and ornaments from the Gingerly Press collection and an array of ink colors to print one-off art prints in various small standard frame sizes. We'll use the playful proofing technique that we use to "sketch" ideas on our vintage Vandercook Press dating back to the 1960s. We'll teach you about some of the fundamentals of design & composition to guide you along the way, but you can always choose to ignore our suggestions and use your creative license to make whatever you'd like with the materials provided! Consider it a night of creative play.

Team Building: Quote Poster Design, Typesetting & Printing
Experience the old-time art of letterpress printing while strengthening the bonds within your team or group! This workshop is all about building community through creative collaboration to design & print an inspiring typographic poster to hang in your office or home.
In this workshop, participants will learn how to set metal and wood type to collaborate on a poster composition of the group’s favorite inspiring quote. Then each participant will take turns printing three copies of the 11x14" poster on our vintage Vandercook Press dating back to the early 1960s.
