Hiking context including Mileage, States, Dates, and Elevation Profile are letterpress printed on reverse of the print, as well as this inspiration story:
Gusting winds following contours take you off your feet: Hiking above treeline in the White Mountains gave me my best taste of the fierce and often relentless winds that cross the bald peaks. Without the protection of the trees, the area consisted of a rocky ecosystem vastly different from the wooded trail, and I found myself amazed at the hardiness of the small alpine plants. The force of the wind was overwhelming as blasts churning up the sides of the mountains could literally lift me, along with my pack, off the ground. While the views above treeline were stunningly beautiful, the wind created such a challenge to adapt to that the return to tree cover was usually welcomed by the end of the day.
