Hiking context including Mileage, States, Dates, and Elevation Profile are letterpress printed on reverse of the print, as well as this inspiration story:
The moss-covered logs float on a carpet of white: Along the rolling ridgelines of the Smoky Mountains, the first signs of spring appeared as tiny white flowers that covered entire hillsides like fresh snow. Walking through these vast flower expanses, I felt like I was Dorothy, strolling through the poppy fields in the Wizard of Oz. The fields were white instead of orange, and what caught my eye were these large, green, moss-covered logs that resembled broad paint strokes on a stark white canvas. The rotting logs of the forest's past were like food being consumed by the hungry coming spring.
